I need help (school dance)!?

OK, heres the thing, my school is having a dance soon and i have no clue what to do! It's the first dance i've ever gone too!





K, first I need to know what to wear. its semi-formal and i'm a guy. i was thinking about wearing dress shoes, dress pants, a dress shirt and a tie, but is that too formal?





I think i've got slow dancing down but where exactly do i put my hands?





And finally how do i dance to e


fast songs? Please help me i'm totally clueless!

no of course not, because its semiformal, you can wear a suit but add a less formal shirt underneath, ask what your friends are going to wear so you can kinda get an idea..





Because your doing a slow graceful dance, your partners hands will be around your neck, the other can be holding your hand or she can have both hands around your neck.





You however, need to put her hands on her back, not up her back but just below the butt..





When dancing to fast songs, dnt stand there and watch everyone dance, watch your friends and some others dancers, as soon as you know what they're doing you can folllow them and also dance.





A school dance is suppose to be alot of fun, so dont worry and fret over dancing, you'll be fine. As long as your confident and put a big smile on your face!!

Reply:My first dance was this year too. Mine turned out fine though. Ok you are alittle too formal. Just wear some nice blouse and dress pants. You can wear the shoes if you like though i would say wear them. For slow dancing just but your hands around the waist and go with the flow. My friends and I watched many of the slow dances since we were shy to go with the guys. Though some of them did get to do it and we were happy for them. During fast songs lets say it can be anything (our's were random from soulja boy, to cha-cha, to electric slide, to slow song) just go with the flow and the crowd. If you go with a group it won't be that hard to fit in at all. Thats what we did. With the right group of friends you can come up with your own moves during a fast song. Believe me we did.

when dancing to more upbeat songs just jump up and down and throw your fist in the air! well depending on the song but this works for most songs!

i think you're probly too formal. i think it's really sexy when guys wear like a band tee under their tux jacket and some converse or vans or something.

just do what the majority of the other guys are doing if you are lost
