Winter dance dress help!!?

i need ideas for a formal winter dance its called winterfest and its like -10 degrees all the time in the winter so i need a dress and shoes! any ideas?! pics/links would deff. help!!

Reply:the winter formal at our school is never actually formal...but a formal gown would be warmer if you want to wear one. i have a really pretty, simple navy blue-ish gown that is floor length on me and its not so bad in cold weather but it does have skinny straps, so if you have one like mine you might want to find a cute coat or shawl-ish thing?
