Because your shoes were hurting you?
Describe your experience. I'm still debating whether to buy a certain pair of high-heeled sandals for a back-to-school dance.
Who's had to dance barefoot at prom or another school dance...?
I always take my shoes off at school dances and weddings. You always see tons of girls doing it. There are tons of girls and guys that have a foot fetish and love to see girls barefoot with dirty feet. Its fun to see them watching you.,you'll love it just go barefoot
Reply:I usually do that at weddings and that, the only thing that you have to be careful about is glass or sh!t on the floor that you might step on. Buy the shoes if they look good, and then you can always just take them off....I think I did that at my grad too! I was a little regretful about that because it got my dress dirty on the bottom cause it was dragging on the floor as I was dancing and running around and that. I feel comfortable bare feet, and my date at the time thought that it was sexy....so go for it!
Reply:ew who cares about the shoes hurtin. dancin barefoot is down right trashy, and you can get athletes foot %26amp; fungile infections. yuck.I dont care about comfort in shoes, just as long as they are hot! and the only thing about wearing heels to a dance is its hard to dance.
Reply:Yeah, I abandoned my shoes at prom. They were high heels. I can't really describe the experience. I danced a little bit with my shoes, but after a while my feet began to hurt, so I took them off. I went bare-footed when the dancing began at choir banquet. They were high heels. The same high heels I wore to prom. Both proms I went to. I picked them up when it was over and I was ready to leave.
Reply:i always kick off my shoes when i dance....no matter what im wearing. its also fun running around with your friends for no reason. i run around weddings, dances, church and tons of other places and play games and yell stupid stuff. im still a kid at heart.
Reply:I wore ballet slippers to my prom in 1979. Platform shoes were what everyone was wearing but my date was sorter than me so I had no choice.
As far as limiting it to "school"dances, any woman who has been in or at a wedding or other formal function has either just kicked of her shoes and let her nylons get ripped to shreds OR had brought along some sort of shoe (slippers, socks or otherwise) to wear after all the routine stuff was through.
Go for the heels and bring a pair of lower, more comfortable shoes for later on. God knows you won't be the first and you definitely won't be the last.
Reply:I always danced barefoot at all of my formals. Not because my shoes hurt my feet, just because I don't like to wear shoes and it was way more comfortable. Shoes are overrated.
