My feet and pointe shoes?

I get really bad cramps in my feet whenever im on pointe, does anyone have suggestions on how to prevent it?

I've been dancing on pointe for 4 years and my shoes arent dead.

My feet and pointe shoes?
Make sure you are dancing squarely on the platform of your shoe. If you are over the shoe or back, this will cause your muscles to work harder than necessary and cramp.

Also make sure you warm up your feet properly before you dance. Your barre should have lots of relevés and tendus that get the muscles in your feet warm and strong. If you do barre in pointe shoes, really work on going through your feet in every tendu - it's much harder than in flat shoes - and rolling up to pointe and back down. Don't ever simply "dismount" from point - articulate your feet to develop the proper strength and control.

It may be necessary for you to do your own warmup prior to class, and it is definitely necessary to warm up before rehearsals. Do lots of slow relevés on two feet and one foot. Do slow tendus, massaging the floor with your feet, and quicker tendus, trying to maintain that suppleness. Do lots of rond de jambes as well.

To develop strength outside class, do these theraband exercises: http://www.chicagodancesupply.com/feet.h...

Do the exercise slowly, working through each position.

Whenever you are standing en pointe, focus on lifting out of your shoes. Don't ever sink into them or allow your foot to rest. You probably know this already, but it's good to be reminded.

After class, give your feet a good all-over massage. Massage in between your toes, massage your arches, and anywhere else that feels tight or sore.

Good luck. I hope this helps.
Reply:I'm not sure if there is a way of preventing your feet from cramping up. Mine do too. Maybe massage your feet before putting your shoes on. You should ask your teacher for advice. Sorry I wasn't much of a help. I saw it'd been an hour and nobody answered, so I gave it a shot : )
Reply:Could be a lack of potassium in your body. Try eating more bananas or other potassium filled foods which help with circulation.

Does a black long sleeze collar shirt look ok with brown khakis and black shoes?

I am 18 years old and i have an important dance to attend tomorrow. I am wearing a Black long sleeve collared shirt and i am still deciding if i should wear black or brown Khakis and what color shoes. Please help. Thankyou.

Does a black long sleeze collar shirt look ok with brown khakis and black shoes?
Well, black and brown don't really look good together and don't match, so if you're going to wear a black top for sure, that means that you have to wear all black, unless you have a little colour in the material. But you don't necessarily have to wear all black if all of the clothes that you wear are black. What I mean is that you should add some jewelry. Any colourful colour would be fine, but I would wear gold and silver won't look that good on such a dark colour like black. Another thing, if you have long hair, don't put it up. Make it wavy or straight. I hope I helped!
Reply:not if they are really dark in color, otherwise yes.
Reply:that'll look fine---just don't unbutton it down to your chest with several gold chains on
Reply:yes that would look good
Reply:hell no you bet not put that **** on that is tackie and ugly as all hell NO find somthing else to wear !!!
Reply:I personally do not think Black and brown (like the khaki's) match. Maybe a white button up? If you are wearing Khaki's, black or brown shoes would work, just make sure your socks match your shoes. Black pants mean only wear black shoes.

Oscar type outfit for a volunteering at a Father/Daughter dance?

EK! I just found out that this father/daughter dance that I'm volunteering at has a theme of the Oscars! What am I suppose to wear that is causal (I really don't want anything fancy, jeans preferably) what type of shirt would be good? Jewelry? Shoes?

Oscar type outfit for a volunteering at a Father/Daughter dance?
How about:

Black skinnys

A party top, preferably something sparkly maybe a silky fabric in a rich colour like purple, red or hot pink

Shoes, I'd go for metallic flats if you're going to be running around a lot or if you really want to wear heels a low sling back kitten heel in silver would be cute

Jewellery is really dependant on your top but dangly earrings would look nice with a matching bracelet

Hope you have a good time =]

Reply:Well as long as they are a very dark wash dressy jean, any nice colored silk shirt and even nice flats would be good.
Reply:dark skinny jeans, a dark-ish red silk pretty blouse, silver ballet flats, silver dangly earrings, curl your hair in big curls. have fun!

How do I sew on the elastic bands that came with my bloch ballet shoes?

This is my first year taking ballet in about 10 years and I went to buy the shoes and the lady told me I can sew them on whatever way I want. I know most people at my dance studio have them just crisscrossed in the front but i wasn't sure if there is a specific way to do it because I know without them my foot doesn't stay in well.

How do I sew on the elastic bands that came with my bloch ballet shoes?
Just regular ballet slippers don't crisscross. Only pointe shoes. But you sew them basically the same, just the ribbons and shoe is different.

Fold the heel down until it's flat. Mark where the fold creases with a pencil or something not dark. Sew one end of the elastic directly under the drawstring. Now put the shoe on and pull the elastic over. Don't pull it too tight around, snug and comfortable. Sew it the same way to did the other side.

Repeat that for your other shoe.
Reply:The new thing in ballet slippers is that you crisscross the elastic. But you can also just take it straight across, it's according to preference.

What I did was put the shoe on and play with the elastic until I it's where I want to sew it in. Hold the elastic in place while you mark the inside with a pen or pencil so you know where to sew. Just put a few stitches in each side just under the top trim of the shoe so nobody notices and you're good to go.

What are some inexpensive tap shoes that are loud and powerful....?

i'm a really good tap dance who wants a louder and powerful tap shoe, any suggestions? thanks!

What are some inexpensive tap shoes that are loud and powerful....?
I just recently bought these-

http://www.capeziostore.com/TeleTone%AE_...

They are Capezio Xtremes. They are oxfords and available in tan. They have really crisp and loud sounds, my friend even said so in class, her words exactly were, "Wow, your shoes are really loud!". They are mounted on a steel springboard to allow sound to resonate. They have a really hard toe box, which make toe stands 10 times easier. I highly recommend them to you. I love them! The price on the site says $66, but i bought them in a capezio store for $64, not much of a difference but worth every penny. Trust me, you'll love them!
Reply:i personally like bloch split sole and leos split sole
Reply:i agree, bloch tapflex 100%. great sound, comfortable, about $68 and that's not to say discount dance wouldn't have them cheaper.

Do soft shoes help your feet from callousing (sorry if that's not a word) during Irish Dancing?

I just started beginner's lessons last night. My feet are killing me where I have callouses on my toes and the balls of my feet. Yikes! Will buying the shoes help? Also: if I am a US women's 10, what's my UK/Irish size??

Do soft shoes help your feet from callousing (sorry if that's not a word) during Irish Dancing?
shoes are way better than bare fett or just socked feet i must say

also an at home pedicure can do wonders

starting off dancing your gonna wreck your feet up quite a feet

after a while you'll most likely develop dancers feet [that what me and my friends call it] its basically when your foot looks kinda jacked up but it at least wont hurt anymore...the padding on your feet though is going to get pretty rough and that wont go away until you stop dancing completly

but i def. would say to get the shoes

also talk to your dance instructor they can help you find your perfect fit of a shoe

oh and honestly dont waste money on a doctor

i did that and it really didnt help

hope i helped
Reply:Your size would be a 40 or maybe a 41. I wear a 7 and a half or a 37 or 38 depending on the shoes. Shoe brands vary in sizing.

This is a difficult call if you already had callouses. I suggest you consult a foot doctor to resolve the callous problem before you do a lot of dancing. Dance catalogs have various things to protect your feet to prevent callouses, but if you already have them, I think, you should go to the foot doctor first. Do this soon. You don't want to damage your feet more and have problems as you get old. Dancing will cause you feet to develop hard callouses and get blisters is this isn't resolved. Sorry , honey, but you need a doctor before you continue dancing. Hopefully, he can help you.

What do you wear when you're going on a date to fancy restaurant or a dance?

Tomorrow I am going to a winter dance with my bf, and I have no clue what to wear! I have several nice dresses and shoes, nice pants, long sleeves, what colors should I wear? White? Silver? Red? Blue? Wrap around shirt? Straight pants? Clogs, sandals, or high heels?

What do you wear when you're going on a date to fancy restaurant or a dance?
Heels, not so high your feet will give out on you half way through the evening..flats only if they are ballerina style.Lots of women wear sandals but high heeled sandals are crippling after a few hours and why put yourself through that? Certainly not trousers of any sort; silver, blue and red are fine; white not so good at this time of year although it isn't particularly important..short sleeves with a shawl or wrap, long sleeves without either and knee length or longer unless you have something really stunningly simple in a short shift...and great legs to show off under it or are into the fashion for wearing a short dress over really good loose-leg trousers....which can look really bad on many people. Flesh coloured tights or stockings..and stockings only if you are wearing something that does not show the garter underneath.

Keep it simple and dress it up with jewellery..bit and bold is in..or don't dress it up at all. The most important thing is that when you have got ready, you feel comfortable in your outfit..especially for dancing in it..and then don't give it another thought. have fun, that is what the whole even is meant to be about.
Reply:dress with high heels.

keep it feminine %26amp; elegant.
Reply:You should wear a nice dress and some cute heels. I would wear white / blue / silver. If you have a white and baby blue dress and silver heels that would be great. Also, wear a cute diamond necklace and bracelet.
Reply:could help in picking if you have pictures of your clothes in order to get a better look. But I would say a nice dress. maybe Knee length dress with high heels.

Reply:okay if you are going on a date it depends if you are going on your first date with him then a nice jean skirt with a long shirt that does not cover the skirt and legging with ballet flats or uggs or high heels since it is close to Christmas wear blue you want to look cute but not like a elf girl

For which kind of dancing do you normally take off your shoes?

Indian classical dancers dance barefoot to symbolize a connection with Mother Earth. There are about 8 different types of Classical Indian dance: Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Sattriya, Manipuri, %26amp; Mohiniattam.

Middle Eastern Bellydance, African, Tahitian, Polynesian, Cambodian, and some other Asian dances are also done barefoot.

Mainly Western dances wear shoes, most Eastern %26amp; older dance styles don't.

For which kind of dancing do you normally take off your shoes?
African dancing and belly dancing are two
Reply:i think ballet
Reply:I would say most traditional folk dances are "shoeless", such as Hawaiian hula, Tahitian dance, belly dancing, etc.

Also, many people take off their shoes for modern, contemporary, lyrical, and sometimes ballet or jazz.

I suppose it really depends on the particular piece being performed and/or the teacher/choreographer.
Reply:polynesian dances (tahiti, hula, maori, tongan, samoan) doesn't need shoes. philippine folk dances as well. a good example of this is tinikling. here are some videos:

What's a good way to raise money on my own for dance? Like a fundraiser?

I need to make A LOT of money for my summer intensive programs... 900 for august 200 for july and 120 for the begining of july + shoes etc.

I was thinking about maybe selling like avon or something because i dont have time to get an actual job.. i've tried selling candy with my old studio and that didnt work out..

Any help? what are some other things i could do or how do i sell avon?

i'm clueless. ( my dance studio doesnt have any fundraiser opportunities)

What's a good way to raise money on my own for dance? Like a fundraiser?
I actually am a Avon Unit Leader and saw your question on my yahoo group. In addition to just getting sales out of the brochure, as a rep you have the opportunity to do fundraisers and can earn 50% commissions off them through avon as well. Contact me, I would be happy to give you more information about it. www.youravon.com/cemig

Reply:Some of my Avon order didn't come in so how do I get it.Can someone help me with this. Report It

Reply:go to www.marykay.com and use the consultant locator. since we are independent contractor's everyone runs their business a little different but I am pretty sure you will get a much higher percent having a fundraiser through Mary Kay especially selling sunscreen and the satin hands. I have done several fundraisers I gave a local family over 400.00 from a couple of hours work so I'm sure you could do much more by July. Good Luck
Reply:I think Price Chopper (grocery store) has coupon books available for fund raising. You buy the books for $1 and sell them for $5. If you don't have a Price Chopper near you maybe you could check with other stores. Sell some of your clothes to a consignment shop, or a garage sale?
Reply:With an AVON fundraiser you can sell and make up to 50%. I would love to help you out. You can sign up at www.start.youravon.com The reference code is kmillard. If you have any questions contact me at joelijah@wideopenwest.com or www.youravon.com/kmillard

Girls what are the most comfortable shoes to wear to go out dancing?

bare feet

Girls what are the most comfortable shoes to wear to go out dancing?
Believe it or not, before I got into this situation of having one good leg, I wore stilettos with heels of 3 - 4". But, this worked for me and might not for anyone else as I was the athletic type and very agile. I would recommend a heel of about 2", and then work up higher if you feel confident. I wore pumps or sandals, but again, it depends on what you can handle and are comfortable and confident in. Good luck
Reply:Platform heels. Or a chunkyer heel. Not a stilleto. Both styles are sexy and comfy
Reply:i love ballet flats. they're so comfy!

but if you want a dressier look try some kitten heels.
Reply:cute ballet flats or small pumps

Would this look good for "the big dance"?

mkay, so the Big Dance is coming up. :]

and im wearing a short black dress [it was black felt polka dots on it. so black on black which is why i'll be adding a hot pink ribbon to the waist soon.]

black shoes.

black fishnet hose.

loose curled hair

and smokey eyes.

heres the dress:

do you think it'll look good?

Would this look good for "the big dance"?
Looks good but I would rethink the sash and shoes. You should do with out the pink sash, go with a pair of red shoes (or shoes with a bold color to give more pop) and then accesorize with a drop necklace and bangle. Loose waves in the hair is great. Experimant with a hair clip or small hair comb to pull one side back a little and show off some super cute earrings.
Reply:it ought to look good. personally, i would ditch the belt and get sum awesome shoes to stand out. but either way, you'll look amazing. but 'member, limit the eye makeup, ya dont wanna look like a racoon
Reply:I think adding the ribbon will make the dress complete! sounds like you are going to look gorgeous. the only thing I dont think I like is the fish net hose, just never cared for them....have fun and be safe!!!
Reply:I like the dress--the hot pink ribbon sounds cute too.

Try it with hose that matches your natural skin color instead. I think that would look better. Loose curled hair and smokey eyes, but not over-done! Have fun.
Reply:Lose the fishnets though...

Love the idea of the pink ribbon, it will give your dress some pretty color. Try some pink ballet flats to match the ribbon. Sounds really cute! Have fun at your dance!
Reply:Yeah, black dresses look smokin, just don't wear too much eyeshadow so you look like a skank
Reply:Gorgeous!!! : )
Reply:Yep - I like it and the pink sash is a good idea, too! You'll look smashing! Have a great time!

i haven't done clogging for like 4 years and i got new shoes i need to break them in, any good, quick, and easy ideas?!?

I haven't been dancing for awhile whats the best way to break in my new clogging shoes??
just put them on and wear them around the house

just not outside and they sould break in soon

good luck
Reply:Well I think maybe you could join a local clogging class or something. Or just dance in them for fun at home!
Reply:just had to break some in a couple of months ago. just walk around in them in the house. get on your toes. make them flexible byy bending them back and forth. (i have the softer clogging shoe with a cloth middle
Reply:I'd say the best way to break into a pair of new dance shoes is to use them. I'd put them on and just dance where ever when ever. the more you do this, the sooner you'll break into them and this could also help you remember your old steps.

How can i get the scuffs and sparkles off of my tap shoes?

I have a dance recital in a few days, and my instructor told my class that we need to have clean shiny shoes. my tap shoes are the shiny kind...not the buffed kind. i have a lot of scuffs on them and a lot of glitter on them from previous glittery costumes. the glitter comes off if i pick at it, but it takes a long time

does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the glitter off and to make the scuffs go away?

How can i get the scuffs and sparkles off of my tap shoes?
i would say you just have to pick the glitter off but maybe you can use glue off or what ever it is called. to cover up the scuffs you can use black buffer. no one will be able to notice the different tectures they will be paying attention to your dancing.
Reply:Get tap shoe cleaner at discountdance.com

tap shoe cleaner might not do the trick

How come my pointe shoes easily get too soft after a while (3 weeks) of intense dancing???

How do i keep them in good condition for a long time so i won't have to keep purchasing new ones? I've worn Capezio for the longest time, ever since i started pointe shoes, and somehow the shank gets really soft and too bendy really fast. I'm wering Capezio chasse right now, and its already really soft, and i already have purchased another pair of Capezio glisse pros and haven't worn them yet. What do you suggest???

How come my pointe shoes easily get too soft after a while (3 weeks) of intense dancing???
a) Pointe shoes die after heavy use. I once wore a pair out after a day, and when I'm seriously training, I average a week and a half. If you're dancing a lot, that could be it, and there's nothing to do about it except talk to your shoe supplier about bulk discounts.

b) You might have weak feet. If you sink a lot, and use your shoe to hold you up, this could do it. I have this problem when I'm being lazy or when my feet start hurting. Do you have high arches/naturally pretty feet? Do you get a lot of ankle or foot injuries? If you do, this is (sadly) likely. More work on foot strengthening, or get harder shanks - or both.

c) Your shoes don't fit you as well as they could. You might have the best fit possible out of a selected pool (ie, you got the best fitting shoe at your local dance shop), but it might not be perfect for your feet. Try other shoes, worrying about how they feel, not how they look (a lot of girls buy shoes that flatter their feet but are totally wrong for them).

d) You break your shoes in too much before wearing them. Don't do the whole banging them with a hammer/in a door thing. You don't need to break them in overnight so you can wear them onstage.

e) You're not caring for them properly. Let them air between wearings, don't store them in your dance bag, and don't store lambswool or gel pads in them when they're drying.
Reply:I worn the Capezio Glisse pros for about 3 years now and I've got to say they can wear out after a lot of dancing. Its just your feet actually that wear out the pointe shoe. You really have to switch your shoes around. If you wear one on your right foot one day, wear it on the left the next. This prevents the glue from dissolving in one place only. It prolongs the life of your shoe by about 2 weeks. Make sure you get the hardest shank possible. Also, keep in mind that the stronger your foot is the sooner your shoe dies. Remember too that if the shoe works best on your feet keep it. I know someone who went through a pair of Gandor Mydens in 2 weeks and those are supposed the strong ones.
Reply:The life of a pointe shoe si truly only a few hours, thats why, if your fitted by a good fitter, they should eb asking how long your classes are, how many days a week, how much time is at the barre vs centre, etc. The Glisse pro is harder than the chasse, and similar in fit, so you've already started making good choices about trying a new pair. In a bind, jet glue can help your shanks hold out, but otherwise, consider it an investment in how strong your feet are! Its better to go through shoes quickly than have the same pair for a month and eb unable to break them!
Reply:They get warn so easily because you use them so much. A trick I used on mine to keep them in better condition was to put moleskin on the pointe of them. I didn't put it on the bottom of the shoe itself but I did put it on the tip, the part you do most of the dancing and the part that gets so warn out. It didn't make it slippery or anything but I still put rossin on them to keep it sticky. It helps keep it together and not get so warn out. I am not sure how to make it not get so soft, that happens to mine too but this helps it stay a little longer.(You can get moleskin in the pharmacy section of almost anywhere. You can get them at any store almost, it comes in a little box and says moleskin on it. It is sticky and soft ontop. IT is usually used like a bandaid or to put in shoes to prevent blisters. Just cut it to the right shape for the top of your shoe and stick it on.)
Reply:i have a friend who has the same problem you do, with the exact same shoe. she is thinking about trying a different shoe with a longer life span, like a gaynor minden.

i think that you will be forced to switch to a different brand. but until then, do not leave your shoes in your bag. let them air out and try not to bend them to much when you are breaking them in. good luck and happy dancing!!!!

What should I do with my make-up for the dance?

Our 8th grade dance is coming up, and I am about to go to Atlanta and there's a Sephora there so I wanted to decide what make-up I should wear in case i need to buy anything.

My dress is kind of teal colored, and I'm wearing silver shoes to match the stiching.

Also I have blonde hair, (I'm thinking about wearing it with the front part pulled back in the half up half down style, but only a little bit up, and the ends curled a bit kind of like Reese Witherspoon in Walk The Line) and I have light skin and blue/green eyes.

Any sugestions?

What should I do with my make-up for the dance?
pick colors that are complimentary but are not the same as your dress(this is a huge "no no")...I would stick to something that is as natural looking as possible(like brown shadow)...but really play-up your eyes with mascara and use a light gloss on the lips! For tips on make-up, try www.alluremagazine.com...they are the best!
Reply:Well I would personnally wear something more natural like browns and creamy colors or you could try a sparlky black very lightly with a white..
Reply:Go to Sephora before the dance and have them show you how to TASTEFULLY put your makeup on or have your mom help you if she wears makeup.

I would go with a sheer lip and maybe some fun teal shadow or liner on your eyes.
Reply:Well I have a natural pretty look that you will probably look good in.Anyone can pull this look off thou.Very manageable.

What you'll need-

-Tinted moisturizer

-Eye-shadow brush

-Cotton swabs

-Eye lash curler

-Beige eye powder

-Light brown eye-shadow

-white eye pencil

-Black mascara

-Blush brush

-Light natural peachy blush

-Lip pencil that matches your natural lip colour or a shade darker

How to get this natural look-

Skin-Apply a thin coat of tinted moisturizer.

Eyes-Apply beige powder eye-shadow.Apply it with shadow brush to lash line and blend. Then use cotton swab to line upper lash line with light brown powder eye-shadow.Rim the inside of your lower eye-lid with white eye-liner pencil.White yeliner pencil rim inside the lower lash-line gives the illusion of brighter eye-whites.Curl eye-lash and apply mascara carefully. For a natural look use a eyelash comb to get rid of acess clumps.Leave lower lashes bare.

Cheeks-for a natural glow use blush brush and apply blend to temples.

Lips-Use lip pencil that matches your natural lip colour.Blen with fingers after you line your mouth.

Since you have light hair and probably fair skin .I read once that light skin tones can wear basically any shadows.Use pale greens, powder blues, light beige, pale pinks, lavenders to.And dark brown a mascara will be softer against light skin tones.

Blue eyes look good agaisnt orangey and peach eye-shadows.Green eyes good good agasint purple and copper.

BTW-tip when curling lashes I was told and I try this also. That lightly using a blow dryer to heat your eye-lash curler will curl lashes better.Get your curler and heat under a blow dryer for a few seconds before placing curler on eyes make sure the curler isn't to hot.BE CAUREFUL you do not want to burn your eye-area.Curl lashes and apply mascara.GOOD LUCK%26lt;3i'm sure you'll look stunning.Sorry for spelling mishaps spell check on yahhoo isn't working right now.Sorry if this info wasn't help s'long and goodd luck!
Reply:YES, I TRULY BELIEVE THAT IN EIGHTH GRADE ONE DOES NOT NEED MUCH MAKEUP......TEAL IS A GORGEOUS COLOR AND WITH YOUR EYES AND BLONDE HAIR A SIMPLE CORAL OR LIGHT PINK GLOSS WOULD JUST SET IT OFF. ALSO YOU MAY WANT A LIL BLUSH IN SAME COLOR AS CHOSEN AND A LIGHT BRUSHING OF MASCARA...JUST DO NOT OVERDO IT...YOU WANT THE BOYS LOOKING AT YOU AS A PERSON AND YOUR DRESS NOT YOUR GAUDY MAKEUP.
Reply:Put it on like war paint sister!
Reply:use a paintroller and smear it all over your face.
Reply:depends on what your wearing if your wearing a light color like pink go with light colors if your wearing a dark co;or dress like dark blue or red go with dark colors if its a mix just mix it with light and dark
Reply:ur gonna look soo pretty and you should do smoky eyes but not too strong. do like a mix of grays and silvers cause it will go with your dress and shoes and eyes and everything! so that would be sweet!
Reply:While you are at Sephora ask to see if they give consultations. That way you have a professional giving you help to apply the makeup and they will help you choose colors that compliment you. Most of the time they are free except when you want to take the cosmetics with you.
Reply:have sephora do it for you
Reply:go for gently blue hues for eyeshadow and highlight with some silver frost. There's a product by bare esscentuals called Warmth, get a container of that and apply to your face you'll look so sunkissed it's awesome stuff
Reply:I think you should go with a pale sheer lip color and a teal

eye shadow. and mabey some silver gliter dust
Reply:hey buy your self flash bronzer from lacome put it all over you body for 3 day before you go to the party that will give you a nice hot look have a light make up and put all over your body some fine glitter powder you will look divine.
Reply:I would go for a light pink eyeshadow if you have very fair skin, or a pale blue for golden skin. For your lips I suggest a sheer gloss and for mascara, go for a black or dark brown thickening one.

If your gonna stand around more then dress to impress! go with heels and a dress or a long flowing skirt with a fancy but not too dressy top.

What Should I wear to my Jr./Sr. High School dance?

heyy everyone ^^

I need some help today! I am planing on going to a school dance on Friday. All my friends will be there and even my crush *blush*

Anyways I already bought a cute skirt here's a pic -http://s139.photobucket.com/albums/q303/... -

hat do you think will go with it? I am looking for a pair of shoes (preferably some sort of sandals) and a good top there's a mall close to me called the May Flower Mall so anything in there would be good , I am looking to spend around $50 on the rest of my outfit.

As for my hair , My hair is auburn and is a little past my elbows.

I am looking for something that would look good on me , like good enough for my crush to notice me. I would like a down do but up do's are just as good.

Basically I am looking for an out fit that would appeal a 15 year old guy lol. But nothing revealing b, but still adult and cute. I am not exactly in to major bight colors and not into long sleeves.

I have hazel eyes and sometimes I use Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen purple eye shadow wand and line all the way around my eyes, top and bottom. It's really subtle but makes your eyes pop. And lots of mascarra. A little bit of blush and clear lip gloss should be perfect :) And no matter what, just have a good time!!!

What is the easiest way to break in your pointe shoes?

i have new pointe shoes...and they're extremely painful! how should i go about breaking them in so i'll be more comfortable at dance class without breaking the soles?

What is the easiest way to break in your pointe shoes?
Do lots of relevé's in them, wear them around the house (with socks over them if you have wood/tile floors to protect them) you can also gently band the shanks with your hands (don't go too far though) and press on the toebox with your fingers, you can soften the toebox by patting it with a damp towel also but don't get it too wet or it will become too soft.
Reply:after class push the heel toward the box both ways

this works because the shoe is then hot and flexible you may need to do it everytime you wear them or at least until they are broken in to
Reply:Bang them against the wall....that's what I saw Lauren Anderson (prima ballerina Houston Ballet) do....I'm not kidding. She is a pistol...
Reply:get gel toes they are fanstastic. then once u break your shoes in more then u can take them out
Reply:Keep on wearing them, even around the house, I have had to do that with some dance shoes it really helps!
Reply:Bend them over the barre until flexible.

Or ask ur dance teacher-she should know

Wear ouchie pouches(i'm not sure of spelling)

Use lambs wool(really helps)

have fun

don't worry about shoes a whole lot

Do i have to take class before wearing my pointe shoes?

People saying it is better if we take class in slipper before wearing pointe shoes, and what is the danger of not taking class before, and just start the class/dance?

Do i have to take class before wearing my pointe shoes?
if you are a professional, then no. based on ur question I would think you aren't. it's a good idea to fully stretch and warm up the foot and ankle before dancing on pointe. the best way would be to have class before. also, if you are just learning pointe this will be the way u are taught. a tired or weak foot will cause injury in pointe shoes. i know u are excited about dancing on pointe but take ur time and follow the instruction (even if it seems u are going slow) it will pay off in the long run
Reply:You should DEFINETLY take classes in slipper for about 4-5 years before you take pointe. You need to gain technique in ballet, strengthen your ankles, perfect your balancing skills, learn to perfect your turn out and hip alignment, and learn basic foot placement. You need to prepare you body to be on pointe. This all important so when you get on pointe you don't hurt yourself. I started ballet when I was 2 1/2 years old, but I didn't go on pointe untill I was 10!! To lessen the risk of injury, go on slipper first. Your body will thank you later!! :)

Good Luck!
Reply:If you have taken ballet for a few years and have permission to be en pointe (which I'm assuming you do) it's fine to just do a simple warm-up and then start class or rehearsal in pointe shoes. You can do some Pilates exercises, plies, tendus, and releves, and then stretch and you should be ready for class.

What should i wear to school dance???

idk what to wear to a school dance! I already know the basics that i'm not going to wear anything fancy like a dress or something. I'm not that tall but i have long legs, red hair, and huge blue eyes. I was thinking of wearing my favorite pair of skinny jeans with a pair of peep toe pumps or ballet shoes and maybe a cute tee shirt. Help me please!

What should i wear to school dance???
Skinny jeans sound good, in a dark wash, peep toe flats sound better then peep toe pumps, and a shirt like this!: http://www.wetseal.com/catalog/product.j... You'll look really pretty with your hair down or in an updo with a smoky eye. Have fun!♥
Reply:i really like the outfit that you have in mind, but wear ballet flats you will be sooooo much more comfy :)

I'm going to a school dance what should I wear?

also shoes and stuff liek that please help!!! im not good at stuff like this. i no like pink either.

I'm going to a school dance what should I wear?
I would suggest wearing something that you like the look of and something that you find comfortable. Choose a colour that you like.

You could try a cute black skirt with a nice top, I find that usually works really well as black goes with almost everything. Here is a pic of nice black skirt:

http://www.babiesnbellies.com/shop/image...

For shoes I would suggest cute but practical as it is a dance you are going to after all. If you want some height go with a heel that isn't too tall and try to get ones that support your ankle so your feet won't be wobbling around in your shoes.

I would suggest not wearing too much makeup because if you are going to be dancing a lot and possibly sweating you don't want to sweat it off... that is never attractive.

Also if you decide to wear a strapless dress then leave you hair down so your neck doesn't look super long.

I hope I've helped
Reply:Your eyes are such a gorgeous color. I'm jealous!

Anyways,

I think these dresss are really cute:

I think you should just wear your hair down and straighten really good. I think you would look good with wavy hair, so maybe if you want to do that you could.

And maybe just your normal makeup routine just add some eyeshadow (if you don't already) and maybe a different lip color.

Or at least something that color. You could just loosely curl your hair and do like some smokey eyes ya know where you do the grayish eyeshadow with black eyeliner? That's one of my favorite make up looks and I think it would go really well.
Reply:hmm maybe a dark blue dress, u culd try a store calld... umm... dangit i cant remember the name of it. anyway if u get a dress that color u culd get silver jewlery to go with it and if the dress is short, get big heels (unless that makes u taller than ur bf) if u get a halter top dress, hair shuld be up. good luck
Reply:http://i20.ebayimg.com/05/i/000/ac/60/79...

maybe something like this but it maybe a bit to flash
Reply:a dress that isn't pink and shoes that aren't pink. Btw if you're bf liked you he wouldn't care what colour you wore
Reply:u would look good in a dark purple ...... with ur hair curled or something
Reply:ok dont freak! if you dont like pink there a million other colors to choose from but I will worn you there is nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable at a school dance so.....I would go the safe route until you build up more confidence in this area....go to the target website and look under juniors dresses and look for a sleeveless black baby doll dress with a v neck front and try to find something similar. I would sugest black flats only because your going to be dancing all night and sitting down while all your friends are dancing because your feet are killing you is not fun...but if you want to challange yourself go with a pair of shoes in an off the wall color like bright yellow, or pink, or white, but make sure to find a clutch aka small purse you carry in your hand that matches your shoes perfectly. Lso match a big long necklace to the color of your shoe and purse and you'll look so cute and put together! As far as the hair goes, leave it down because it will end up looking crazy half way throught he dance if you dont and dont forget to pack lipgloss, gum, a small bottle of perfume in your clutch so your prepared! Go light on the makeup because it will end up running but I would suggest eyeliner on the top lid and mascara for the sole purpose of batting your eyes at your boyfriend during the slow dances!

What are some tips if u are going to a formal dance>?

its a middle school formla dance. and so..

im gonna wear a red halter top.

wat should i do with my hair. bracelets? necklaces?

shoes?

tips pleas!

What are some tips if u are going to a formal dance%26gt;?
First, make sure what you are wearing is in good taste and is in accordance with your school's dress code. If you are wearing a halter top, your hair should be swept up so it won't interfere with the lines of the top. Chandelier earrings would be very nice with a halter top. If you wear chandeliers, you really don't need a necklace. Bangle bracelets would round out the jewelry. Make sure your nails are the same color red... or go with a French manicure. Just make sure your shoes are comfortable; you'll; be on your feet all night and this is not the time to break in new shoes. Have a great time.
Reply:Hair - different than you normally wear it, up or curly or sexy (have your hairdresser try a few looks, check out hair magazines).

Jewellry - big, glitzy, spangly, sparkly. Basically BLING.

Shoes - high heels, pumps if you can wear them. There is something extremely sophisticated and also sexy about 3" or 4" pumps.

Makeup - go sultry - dark shadows in the crease, glimmer or glitter on the brow bone. Glimmer powder over your blush. Red gloss lipstick (add a touch of gold or silver in the middle of your bottom lip under the gloss to add a "pout").

Formal dances are your chance to really shine.
Reply:Make sure you wear comfortable shoes, bracelets, necklaces, rings and a wrap for cooler weather...most of all, have fun.
Reply:hair do it glam super straight or really curly

bracelets and necklaces would be great in diamonte' to really glam it up and keep the same with makeup sparkly and fun, shoes have to be comfy though.

tips would be to:

*find a good bra that sits invisibly with your top

*always bring a purse that matches your outfit

*go for comfort with shoes

*most important rule, have fun :)

i'm going to a semi-formal dance saturday and i need hair and makeup ideas. my dress is a grey silvery color and it's strapless. my shoes, necklace, and earrings are red. i have hazel eyes and medium-long brown hair. thanks!

How should i do my hair and makeup for this dance?
hair down with loose curls, smokey/dramatic eyes, and natural lips. use liquid liner for the top too.
Reply:I like the second one personally. It brings out the shape of your face and all your features...

You are a very pretty girl, and should show it!!

~Summer
Reply:I love all three, but I would go with the third one, something different!

For makeup, maybe try red, light green, or brown eyeshadow.

For lipstick and gloss, dark red.

For blush, dark pink.

If mascara, waterproof kind!

I would advise against eyeliner, but if you want to use it, go for it!
Reply:Out of those three, the middle one is very pretty.

What should my boy wear to dance class?

i have a four year old boy that i just put in a beginning ballet/tap class, and he loves it and he's actually really talented! the only problem is that he's been wearing sweats to class while all the little girls have tights and tutus and look so cute. what can i put on him that is still masculine yet looks more like a dance uniform?

he needs to wear tights under whatever bottoms because of switching between the ballet and tap shoes.

What should my boy wear to dance class?
the genral rule is black tights and biker shorts for ballet and black or grey sweat pants for tap jazz modern etc.

all are worn with a white tee shirt (not too lose ) that is genrally let untucked if not to long at least thats what the guys at my studio wear it is not skin tight but it does not restrict the teachers view of the students form or lines . basicly that means it makes them happy. hope this helps
Reply:something comfortable to move in.( shorts t shirt) SHADDUP to all who can't say something nice.
Reply:sweats are fine.

the guys i dance evn wore jeans sometimes... though i wouldn't recommend that b/c some studios get angry at that...

he just needs something he can move in.
Reply:I am a 19 year old guy who started beginning ballet classes a few months ago, and I just wear a leotard with footed tights, same uniform as the girls. Even though I am the only boy in my class I don't want special treatment, so I wear a black leotard with light pink ballet tights. Nobody wears a tutu though. So maybe you could get him a regular ballet outfit in a more boyish color?
Reply:My cousin was in tap dancing when he was little. In the videos of him, he wore a leotard with tights (both black) and some knee length shorts that weren't tight or loose so they wouldn't distract him.
Reply:I used to do dance, and all guys wore tights under, and sweats over. Then, just wear a plain black/white shirt tucked in.
Reply:umm im a ballerina and ive seen little boys wear black shorts like gym shorts or whatever (with tighets underneath?) and then a plain white tee shirt??
Reply:don't do that to your son

What makeup should I wear for the dance?

So there's a school dance this Friday. Theres no real theme. I am probably wearing jeans and darkish colored top. For shoes it will either be black flats or black Converse hightops (haha, my fav). My hair is light-brownish, sort of like dirty-blonde. I am straightening it, and it is about down to my shoulders. What kind of makeup should I wear? I don't want to go over the top, but some kind of thing that would look good. And YES, I do wear a little but of concealer. Should I use liquid or power because I have tried both but idk what looks better.

Anyway, all the makeup I and my sister has (which I can borrow) is eyeliner, liquid or not, mascara, some eyeshadow, lipstick/gloss (which one should I choose?), blush, concealer, eyelash curler.

PLEASE help anything will do. Thanks!

What makeup should I wear for the dance?
you always wanna keep it natural looking..otherwise you'll end up looking scary/awakward/fake.

which concealer, whatever you use make sure it does not make your face look orange -it must match your skin tone. and always be careful not to use too much

as for make up for the dance I'd definitely go with mascara and (if you have it) a nice shade of brown/gold (if your skin in darker then you can have a darker brown..but if its lighter then make sure the brown is not too dark) eyeshadow thats sparkley -so its fun. I put mascara on my top and bottom lashes but if you do bottom as well..make sure you dont get any on your skin.

for eyeliner, thats a hard one. first of all do you wear eyeliner at all? if not then I'd for sure skip that. if you do wear it then go ahead and put just a little on the bottom (and top if you want) but not too much or else you'll come out looking like a raccoon.

if you know how to apply blush correctly then that always looks like but just a little. if you aren't practiced putting blush on then i'd skip it.

haha sorry if that was so long, I just love make up! hope this helps and have fun at your dance!
Reply:try pink eye shadow with mascara and a little bit of eyeliner and some light color blush with some eyelash curler hope it works and by the way have lots of fun at the dance hope this helps and i would where the converse they are my fav shoes to hope this helps
Reply:aight...

so curl your eyelashes and add a tiny bit of mascara...not too much. Then, if you have any, pink or white eyeshadow (natural, and just a little). Next, put eyeliner (whatever kind floats ur boat) on only the upper lid, as close to the lashline as you can, sorta thick (not too much, you don't want to look sleazy). Add blush only if ur really pale, and concealer of course. Go with a natural lipstick so it stays on, and then add clear gloss...Natural but pretty

well, if not for the dance, then for after-the-dance if ya know what i mean!
Reply:The suede boots might be ok but not with gold metalic skinny pants! I mean I havnt seen the outfit but it sounds pretty out there.
Reply:yah that sounds really nice..the skinny pants will definately tone down the boots so that they are perfectly acceptable for the dance.

This is GREAT: http://www.overstock.com/Clothing/Max-Cl...
Reply:I suggest this (#1) if you can wear a strapless. But if you cant then layer a SOLID long sleeve or 3 quarter sleeve shirt under it. i suggest a nice brown or pale pink ( it will be around valentines day) this will give it a bit of a casual look but also keep it dressed up with either silver or the same color ballet flat as the shirt you choose. As for accessories i suggest (#2) it will look nice. For you hair i would say leave it down but maybe make some random curls going around . makeup will be very subtle with a soft/rich pink lip i suggest Heidi klums line from Victoria's secret. hope that helps! x3hayley

Outfit for the spring dance =]?

my school's coming up with a spring dance soon. i want to wear something really nice. (it's not formal), but yeah. my style is all over the place so anything will do. i need accessories, clothes, shoes, and a makeup style (optional). i like nordstrom, bloomingdale's, charlotte russe, urban outfitters, american apparel, free people, forever 21, aeropostale, hollister, american eagle...the usual stores. and if you can can you make up a nice hairstyle? my hair is dark brown, straight and a little bit over shoulder length.

please and thanks so much =))

And you could wear bangle bracelets from Forever 21, and you could wear flats, which they sell everywhere! Some good sites are gojane.com, wetseal.com, abercrombie.com, and nordstrom.com if you don't like the outfits I gave you. Light makeup would be good. I suggest you put your hair in a high pony tail, two pigtails, it wuld be cute, or leave it down. Put hair accessories like clips. Wear mascara, white eyeshadow with pink, a light shade, blush, eyeliner, and wera contacts if you wear glasses.

I need help matching my outfit for the dance this year?

for my dance this year im wearing a short dress(just above the knee). it is gnna b black with spagghetti straps, a blue, turquoise, and aqua layered bottom, and a cute blue sequenced ribbon (thin) that comes around just above the hips. My shoes will be strappy and black. wat accessories should i wear?

I need help matching my outfit for the dance this year?
That sounds like a very busy dress, so keep the accessories to a minimum. Pick ONE shade of the blue and get earrings and simple necklace to match, if you don't already have one. I wouldn't wear bracelets or anklets, or a ton of rings. One ring per hand is enough. Depending on the weather, a simple shawl or wrap in black for warmth. Simple hair style, one barrette, clip, whatever in a matching blue. Like jeweled clip in the same blue as the jewelry. Don't try to get all three shades in your accessories.

Remember that you want people to notice you, not your clothes.
Reply:If your ears are pierced you should wear earrings that are thin (not hoops), silver, and fairly long. Try silver bangles and/or a black marquisite (i dont think i spelled that right...) ring.
Reply:I would wear long dangly silver with blue rhinstone earrings and your hair up so it wont take away from the earrings. You should wear a small blue purse with sequense to bring it out from the black dress and to stand out with the ribbon. Have fun!

P.S dont wear both long earings and a necklace......either the necklace will take away from the earrings or the earrings will take away from the necklace.

What should I wear a high school casual dance?

I'm a boy and I was wondering what to wear to a casual dance. Should I wear a long sleeve collar button-down shirt or just a polo? And is jeans and tennis shoes okay?

What should I wear a high school casual dance?
wear the long sleeve collar button down shirt with a white beader underneath if you have one, cuff the sleeves up to your elbow and wear jeans and tennis shoes
Reply:you could try a polo and jeans or a button down shirt not buttoned with another shirt underneath and jeans.

good luck!
Reply:no one really gets all dressed up 4 those anyway. so go ahead, wear something that u like and u r comfortable in.
Reply:wear kacki pants or jeans a nice polo shirt is good. But you need like a top sider{speary} shoe, they are cooler than sneekers.
Reply:Jeans, tennis shoes, a cool t-shirt underneath a slightly open casual button down shirt with the sleeves cuffed (rolled) up a bit. You'll look really hot :) haha I feel shallow..but seriously I think that looks amazing on a guy...very clean, hygenic, and well kept...very sharp looking :)

Have fun at your dance!
Reply:black long-sleeved button-down collar shirt

nice jeans

regular shoes (whatever shoes you wear normally)
Reply:Um probably a button-down plaid shirt but plain jeans and shoes! I think this would look hot!

Hope I helped and best of luck! =]
Reply:don't worry so much about what to wear. Just make sure it is clean, neat, and somewhat fashionable and everything will be OK.
Reply:A nice shirt and a pair of jeans with some good shoes would look fine.
Reply:Just wear a polo you know with a fancy watch and your formal shoes/ NOT TENNIS / and jeans. That should work.

What should i wear to my dance?

So, the last dance before school goes out is coming up and i dont know what to wear. The theme is tropical/ beachy. Practically everyone in our grade wears the same generic thing, denim skirt and a pretty top with flip flops or flats form ae. I am going shopping with my friends this weekend to get something for my dance. I like ae, abercrombie , hollister, forever 21 and aeropostale.I really want to find something different but no shorts please and some cute shoes would be great. Send links.

What should i wear to my dance?
For your hair.. i would put it up with bobby pins and get some fake flowers (1$ at dollar store) and bobby pin it in your hair and have some hair hang over it. Make sure what you get is very flowy and thin. If i was you, i would go to walmart and buy a wrap. This looks like a big thin blanket but you can put it all different ways and tie it behind your kneck...or make it strapless... you can do pretty much anything with it and its pretty cheap. I have one and i love it...its very tropical. Its long and it wont show much legs. It sorta reminds me of this....

Its pretty much this skirt:

http://www.theislandpalace.com/indianwra...

but what you will buy is tropical.

If you do find that...i would buy a matching nameband shirt...like say if your wearing a black and white wrap... i would get a white flower in your hair...and a white shirt with black hollister writing....

understand?

i think that would be cute.

For your shoes...

i would totally go to payless, ross, or marshalls. i think they would have the shoes.

good luck!
Reply:this is a cute top. You can wear a jacket over it.

Reply:omg if its beachy you should soooooo wear a bathing suit coverded w/ a tank top and a grass skirt that would soooooo go w/ the theme and all eyes would be on u

Reply:maybe he can do the can can!
Reply:Not tap shoes, I hope! That would be soooo noisy.
Reply:Can you afford dancing lessons after paying out for all those shoes?...Lol

Should I wear socks with my jazz shoes?

I am taking a jazz dance class, which I have never done in an actual studio with dress code. Black leotard, jazz pants, and jazz shoes are required...Do I wear socks?

Should I wear socks with my jazz shoes?
No; just tights
Reply:whateva is more comfy to dance in
Reply:wear whatever is comfertable to you but if you dont wear anything with your jazz shoes they will start to stink very VERY bad. i know from experiece. but i wore mine everyday for like a year.
Reply:Thats up to you! !
Reply:Nope. No socks, just tights.
Reply:wear socks because im on my schools dance team and we have to wear jazz shoes too, and if you dont wear socks your feet turn black and after a while your feet start to smell because of the shoes.
Reply:No.

Tights are enough.
Reply:tights only
Reply:no, i dont wear anything under my jazz shoes

my socks get twisted up inside them when i pirouette so i end up tsking them off anyways
Reply:nooo, what are you crazy!!
Reply:Yeah choose white
Reply:NO!!!

NONONONONO!!!

your dance school has been specific in what they want you to wear.

so wear what is expected.

Wear black tights if you dont want to wear your jazz shoes barefoot(I prefer to go barefoot, but then again ,after 10 years of dance, I'm not so fond of shoes altogether)
Reply:It really all depends. I wear socks, tights, bare feet with my jazz shoes. Try each one and see what you like best. But when your not wearing anything and you the shoe off you can REALLY smell the sweat.

Ask your teacher and see what they say before you go though :)
Reply:i dont wear socks ...

i dont wear anything actually.. i roll up my tights so they are on my calf
Reply:If you want to. I would also talk to your school/teacher to be sure. Tights would also be good. JUST DON'T NOT WEAR ANYTHING ON YOUR FEET WITHOUT SHOES. GROSS!!!!!!!!!!

Where can I find black 1 inch character shoes for under $30?

I've been looking everywhere for about 6 hours straight...And I can't find any black 1 inch character shoes in my size. My shoe size is somewhere between a 7 to 8.5 in women's.

I'm at a disadvantage since I know virtually nothing about dance...

And I don't mind if they are a little over $35...

Thanks in advance!

Where can I find black 1 inch character shoes for under $30?
1" character shoes are virtually impossible to find. They usually only make them in youth sizes, since 2" is pretty much standard size for adults.

Can it be 1.5"? If so, try allaboutdance.com. They have a nice selection, and a 1.25" heel, but it's $45.
Reply:Here's some for $22 plus shipping.

I have ordered (several times) from them

good service. but it would be best if you have tried them on somewhere and know your size.

Some of the dance studio around us carry these in stock or can get them in in a weeks time.

HELP!!! What to wear to a valentines highschool dance?? pics included?
just wear that
Reply:Babe i love everythign but that shirt! never wear or better sayd never buy shirts with brands on them!
Reply:wear a big sweater and pants.
Reply:That looks good if you're trying to blend in with the crowd.... to look really good and stand out to all the hotties, try wearing something more unique like polka dots and pearls with skinny jeans or something. Good luck!
Reply:I would pick a different shirt, that one is just boring. I'd also have to agree with the person above: what's with the brands?
Reply:a skirt
Reply:the flats are really cute, skinny jeans are fine if you have the right body, you have to be "skinny" to pull them off well, and the shirt is blah, it's a dance, glam it up a little...
Reply:I know everyone will be wearing pink and red, but join them! be a bit more festive in your choice. What you are wearing seems like what most girls wear to school, not to a dance. add a little pizazz, or you will end up looking like every other girl.
Reply:so what is the question. y r u wearing jeans to a dance (or is it a party)?
Reply:why are you wearing jeans to a dance? and not just any dance...a valentine's dance! even if you don't have a sweetheart (like myself) that doesn't matter! dress up girl! that outfits cute, but you could look waaaay cuter! it doesn't have to be expensive either. check out wetseal or forever21.. they have adorable dresses for great prices.

One more time, DANCE OUTFIT! ignore if you already answered.?
i would say the second shirt (purple) is the cutest. pair it with the black shoes and either a bigger necklace that hangs down or something more elegant like pearls or a more delicate necklace. depending on your style, you could accessorize and make the outfit totally different. I would wear your hair down either very straight or wavy.
Reply:your pics are all scatterd all over the place... repost this... i really liked the pink baby doll top and the skinny jeans would look good with it... the flats links didnt work...
Reply:Can't answer your question - all images have been moved or deleted!
Reply:In additional details, #3,#4,and #5 are cute and for flats:the black ones with bows!
Reply:links don`t work
Reply:green shirt w/ the jacket or the pink tank over the white and black top would look cute

Re: I went to Tiki Bob's Dance club tonight and had an extra shirt with me.?

Some dance spaces are elevated for girls only. When the girls went up the steps, they would look down for the first step and when I layed my shirt on the step, they all stepped on it as if it were not even there. A few whose shoes were off and stepping in spilt beer actually wiped their feet on my shirt. so did some with high heels. And last week, two girls saw it on a platform and used their feet to wipe up spilt beer also after asking me if they could use it since it was laying there. Why is this? Oh and i forgot to ask ladies right now if you would step on it like all the others did under the same circumstances even tho they and you could see it laying there?

Re: I went to Tiki Bob's Dance club tonight and had an extra shirt with me.?
are you talking about tiki bob's in philly?

but anyway... usually people are pretty drunk in dance clubs.

and we all know that things we would do sober don't usually match with the things we would do if we were drunk.

why would you even lay it where people walk anyway?

keep it over your shoulder, and try to remember IT"S ONLY A T-SHIRT

and yeah, i would probably step on it, not to hurt your feelings, but if I saw it laying there I would think it was a discarded shirt anyway
Reply:This is very common at a Tiki Bar. In some countries...people believe this type of action will bring you good luck.
