Pointe shoes and blisters?
When it comes to blisters, you want to keep them unexposed from the air so that they don't become infected. So, while not dancing, keep them peroxized and covered in a bandaid, fresh every day. When dance comes, I put on a band aid, then to cushion it, I put tape on and pad it inside my toe pad with lamb's wool. THis usually takes most of the pressure off. But remember to just pull up as hard as you can while up on pointe!! That is the main reason why most get blisters.

As far as trying on other people's pointe shoes, a very bad idea. Each pointe shoe is different from the other. When especially they are broken into already, they have formed to be completely different from your feet. Trying them on even can give you blisters. But going up? Twisted ankles, here we come!! I personally don't even think Willow should even be doing that. It isn't safe, no matter who you are or how strong you are. Hope this information helps!
Reply:ya %26amp; if someone has an infected blister yours might get infected to by useing thier shoes Report It

Reply:Try getting the tape for blisters and tape it on your toes before you go on your pointes. Report It

Reply:Bandaid?

Masking tape?

Do not get the broken blister infected! Put medicine on it and keep a bandaid on it.

Good luck.
Reply:Pointe shoes and blisters? Sounds like a natural!
Reply:Blister's are normal when wearing pointe shoes only suggestion i can give is to wear plasters and grim and bear it im afraid! Ive been wearin pointe shoes for 8 years now and that is what i do. I also go to a full time dance school and we always have to have our own pointe shoes. It is always best to brake in your own pointe shoes as everybody's feet are different, and have different strength. Also don't let anybody else wear them!!!!
Reply:Hey I've started doing pointe again after not doing much dance the past year, and so my feet have gotten soft, but I got a popped blister just this past week and so far I've found that the best to do is to wear a band-aid when I've got shoes on, and before I go to bed I put some peroxide on it, and once the blister gets tougher I'll put alchohol on it. Soak your feet in salt water, and don't put ointment on it because it will get soft again if you do that. Eventually you will build up calluses enough so the blisters will quit coming. Keep it very clean but don't keep it moist. you want it to harden up so don't pamper it too much and wear tape on your toes until they get tougher.
Reply:for yr blister, try looking 4 blister pads in a store (they r noramally around where the band-aids r sold) they r little round cusions that u can put on top of broken and unbroken blisters. i use them whenever i have blisters and have 2 wear my pointe shoes, they really help! as 4 wearing another persons pointe shoe 4 any reason is not a good idea! pointe shoes r very specific fitting and if they don't fit u properly than u will be more likely to injure yrself. so NO its not safe! the more u work w/ yr shoes ans practice in them the more u will break them in. good luck w/ pointe and i hope u enjoy!
Reply:you have to break your own shoes in eventually and it would suck to get it infected with someone elses shoe so i suggest you put a bandaid and a peice of gauze over it before you put your pointe shoes one
