What do you wear when you're going on a date to fancy restaurant or a dance?

Tomorrow I am going to a winter dance with my bf, and I have no clue what to wear! I have several nice dresses and shoes, nice pants, long sleeves, what colors should I wear? White? Silver? Red? Blue? Wrap around shirt? Straight pants? Clogs, sandals, or high heels?

Heels, not so high your feet will give out on you half way through the evening..flats only if they are ballerina style.Lots of women wear sandals but high heeled sandals are crippling after a few hours and why put yourself through that? Certainly not trousers of any sort; silver,blue and red are fine; white not so good at this time of year although it isn't particularly important..short sleeves with a shawl or wrap,long sleeves without either and knee length or longer unless you have something really stunningly simple in a short shift...and great legs to show off under it or are into the fashion for wearing a short dress over really good loose-leg trousers....which can look really bad on many people. Flesh coloured tights or stockings..and stockings only if you are wearing something that does not show the garter underneath.


Keep it simple and dress it up with jewellery..bit and bold is in..or don't dress it up at all. The most important thing is that when you have got ready, you feel comfortable in your outfit..especially for dancing in it..and then don't give it another thought. have fun, that is what the whole even is meant to be about.

Reply:You should wear a nice dress and some cute heels. I would wear white / blue / silver. If you have a white and baby blue dress and silver heels that would be great. Also, wear a cute diamond necklace and bracelet.
Reply:could help in picking if you have pictures of your clothes in order to get a better look. But I would say a nice dress. maybe Knee length dress with high heels.

Reply:okay if you are going on a date it depends if you are going on your first date with him then a nice jean skirt with a long shirt that does not cover the skirt and legging with ballet flats or uggs or high heels since it is close to Christmas wear blue you want to look cute but not like a elf girl
