What kind of dress should i wear to a school dance?

I am 13, and my king and queen dance is on February 9th and tomorrow im going to the mall to get a dress. I am not sure what kind of dress to get. Im am very self consious soemtimes, so i really dont want anything that's too revealing. And i also have to get shoes and a purse,so what kind of shoes should i get,and what purse should i get?

macy's sells a lot of dress...get one that looks like a cocktail dress jus a little above the knee or like an inch below it.. try a classic black and white dress ...and you can find a clutch to go with that with cute black heels..
Reply:You should wear a halter neck dress or a little black dress, or something sparkly with flowers, i wore a halter dress and i won queen in high school, i bet it would look good on you.

Reply:i know it sounds inappropriate, but a cocktail dress. its a little more fancy then a sun dress and less fancy than a, say, prom dress. its any variation of a "little black dress". short, fun, flirty. something easy to dance in.
