Ouch! my pointe shoes?

i have been dancing ballet for 12 years and im 16 now. I have been on pointe for 4 of those years...and have had no problems with my shoes or my feet. howver this year my toes are in great pain and i find it almost unbearable to dance in them.....is there any way that i can wrap my toes or pad inside my shoes?

P.S--%26gt; i wear ouch pouches

Ouch! my pointe shoes?
I would suggest taping your toes together with medical tape and/or using lambs skin toe pads. You can buy them at discountdance.com
Reply:Stuff the toes with cotton
Reply:do you think maybe they've been rubbing your feet so long your skins starting to wear down?

maybe you might have some calluses build up, just scrub your feet down with a pumice stone or go get a pedicure and ask about the tools they use and where to get them.

there's also this cool new type of shoe its like a thermal shoe and you can heat it and mold it to your foot so they're much comfier and wont rub your feet to shreds.

hop i helped bye! ♥♥-Jess
Reply:Maybe your shoes are too small...
Reply:dont buy any kind of pouch. just buy a bag of lambs wool that u can use as much as you want and it will shape to your foot and it will be much more comfortable--and its cheap. I dont like gel pads because i find my feet slipping inside of the shoes. lambs wool is the best way to go. good luck. u can find it on discountdance.com
Reply:look at target.com
Reply:if u havent had any problems in the past then there probably too small
Reply:I'd go and get re-fitted if I were you, maybe try a different brand. We all grow and our body changes. Also, we grow as dancers, and our dancing changes. Maybe your old shoes don't fit you anymore because you changed. My teacher says that every year our body changes so much that we get a completely new body, we should respect that.
