What type of pointe shoes should i get!!! HELP!!?

Okay, let me start out by saying i am 13 and on my second year of pointe.

My dance teacher over the past couple classes has made comments to me like: wow look at those arches and you are going to massacre your pointe shoes. Most kids in my class ride the back of their pointe shoes. But my arches look more like

my question is: What type of pointe shoes should i get? Do i need a hard shank like russian pointe or grichkos??

I have chacotts now %26amp; after a few classes they r worn out!!

What type of pointe shoes should i get!!! HELP!!?
No offense but those are not good arches at all. Plus the only reason your Chacotts are getting worn out is because they are really soft and not durable at all. No offense again but I think you made the thing up about your teacher saying that because your arches are barely even arches if they look relatively like that. Go get professionally fitted.

p.s. I looked at your other posts, the arches still are not good
Reply:I DO LYRICAL DANCING YOU SHOULD TRY FOOT UNDEEZ [thats what we use]...[underwear for your feet] the kinda look weird but they help n they cover half of your foot...

they are all different colors becuase you have to match your skin tone... good luck =]
Reply:If that's your foot, you have a beautiful arch.

People with higher arches usually go through shoes faster.

I suggest Grishko. I use them and I love them a lot. You may want to try a hard shank too. It'll take forever to break in, but will last a lot longer. Try Grishko 2007 to see if you like them.

Good Luck
Reply:First off, Chacotts are extremely soft shoes. The feet in that picture aren't arched anything special, but I know you've mentioned your teacher's comments in a couple of posts, so I'm assuming yours are nicer than that. That said, a lot of what goes into choosing a shoe will depend on the shape of your foot. If a chacott fit nicely, a bloch serenade has a similar shape, but a harder shank. Grishkos 2007s have a decently hard shank, but they tend to run a bit narrow, which may not suit your foot. If you do try them onand the shape if off but you like the shank, you may be interested in a grishko elite or foutte. Someone may suggest a gaynor minden for you,but they're hard for someone with beautiful arches to stay on top of, theyre really soft and the drawstring is akwardly placed.
Reply:I wear Gaynor Minden pointe shoes.

You can totally customize them, and also there's virtually no breaking them in, you heat them up with a hairdryer and bend the arch to your liking. I'm horrible about over-arching my shoes (I have freak-feet that bend at almost a 90 degree angle), so if they get over-arched, just heat them up again with the hairdryer and take some of the arch out!
