Which shoes should I wear?

The prom is coming up, and I don't know what shoes to wear. I would like my legs to appear longer, so I was thinking about heels, but then i realised that they might hurt my feet when I dance. I'm also a shorty (5' 4") so, I want height, but thats not as important to me as the comfort issue. Could I wear flats? Those wouldnt be as cute as heels nor would they help with the appearance of my legs. So, I am torn between two choices. flip-flops are a solution, but they would slip off when I dance.





Any suggestions?


Also, if you have any suggestions on how i can look better in general (like making my legs longer, more curves, etc) please share them with me.

Which shoes should I wear?
I love my shoes, but you're right, after a while they start to hurt. I'm now used to wearing heals all nite when I go out, but since you seem relatively new to this......first, pick about a 3 inch heel. Practice walking in them around your home, this gets you used to the height and helps to break them in. If they're smooth on the bottom, take a knife and scrape at the bottom so that it 'grips' the floor better (two smooth surfaces coming together means one of them is going to fall...guess which one). Now what I used to do, and still do now, is carry either ballet slippers or the socks that have some rubber on the bottom. That way, if your feet start to hurt, just take off your shoes and slips one of those on. They're small and you can just fold them and put in your purse. I've never had someone say anything bad about them..rather they say "I wish I had thought of that!". After partying til 4AM in New York, my feet welcome this and I'll slip them on right before I leave the club and just carry my shoes.

They have heels to make you look taller, yet they are so comfortable. You can dance all night and not worry about them slipping off. Have fun!!
Reply:to wear a short dress that shows leg and comes up to like your knee.. but not too short like a slut.





or wear a long dress with heels so the dress covers the heel kind of so it seems like you're tall but its the heel!





make sure to buy your heels a week or two before the actual prom so you can wear it around the house, and so you can break them in. so they can be comfortable for the prom!:)

Reply:I'd go with heels, they will make you look taller, and that's your goal. I'm 5'3'' and I always wear heels with my dresses, and I will usually dance in my shoes until my feet hurt, then I usually just take my shoes off and dance barefoot. Which works out a lot better because you will be more comfortable and everyone takes off their shoes so you won't feel weird. But if you're not comfortable taking your shoes off, then I would suggest practice walking around and dancing in your shoes while you are at home; this will help break in the shoes, and also help you feel comfortable in your shoes.

Reply:Don't wear flats! Flats are cute for more casual dressy looks, but not for prom! Wear some 3-4" heels that you personally love and go well with your dress. Go to dinner, get pictured in them, etc, and then take them off once you start dancing. Nobody at my prom wore their heels on the dance floor.
Reply:You can wear a cute pair of heels. And then when your dancing just take them off! Simple.
Reply:Get a 2-3" heel- that will add some height without making you too uncomfortable. Practice walking in them before the even so you will know what's like to wear them and also to break them in a bit.
Reply:Wear some of those mini heels. I'll tell you, theres this pair of brown connected heel flip flops. There leather though and there adorable they come in other colors tooo. The heel is only like one inch high and there by nine west. i got mine at payless and there all around leather so they're so comfy.
