My first dance...?

Im having my first middle school dance and I want to impress a guy. I am not gonna look hoey so Im not even gonna think about that! It a halloween dance, bt you are not supposed to wear a costume... and Im not! I have a cute t-shirt that has a care bear on it and it has in multi-colored print "just gimme the candy" It's so cute cause the care bear had a storm cloud on it's tummy and its giving the person who looks at it the puppy-dog-pout and it has fists clenced and its pouting! So cute! Should I wear that with jeans? Im looking to go casual but should I dress up for my very first dance? Should I wear my hair up or down? Clothes, hair, shoes advice?! Help! Im nervous and I don't now what to wear and it's next Weeked!

ask around to see what your friends are wearing, and other people in the school. try to go along with that but be unique. what i mean is use what you know about what they are wearing so that you dont dress up too much or not enough. good luck

Reply:OK sweet hart um DON'T were care bear shirt.... wear a nice colorful kinda dressy but not over the top were nice blue jeans kinda tight but able to dance in don't wear to much make up your probably pretty so don't wear any.......um nice shoes don't wear tall because you don't know who your dancing with unless you have a boyfriend and if you dance with a short guy you don't wanna make him fell short....wear your hair down straight unless you have a perm then wear a messy bun..........never wear it in a pony ewwwwyy never......and don't be a corner bug if a guy doesn't ask you to dance then ask him or dance with your girlfriends and most of all have fun it's your First dance make it were you can remember it soo good luck and you'll look great....

Reply:okay, first off, do not wear that shirt. try american eagle, they have some cute tops. But wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Pick a cute top, but go with short-sleeved, it WILL get hot at the dance. Wear that with jeans and you are good to go. Also, wear your hair down, but bring a hair elastic just in case. You should straighten it, or curl it if you want. Wear a little more make-up than you normally would, but not too much. remember to wear comfortable shoes, like flip-flops or flats. If you want to, you can also wear a cute necklace with matching earings. And if you want to impress a boy, go up and talk to him. Boys like it when you go and talk, they don't like it when girls act shy.

Is the dance formal or informal or casual? That makes a big difference in what you should wear.





If you know how to wear your hair up and make it look nice, then that's a great idea. You could even put glitter or a flower or some "baby's breath" decorations in it.





Paint your fingernails, even if it's clean polish. Don't over-do any makeup (if your parents allow you to wear any).





Keep it simple, but elegant. I think that will impress him.
